Pool Plastering & Resurfacing

Renew your pool with a beautiful, durable interior finish selected for your water color, design and lifestyle.

Give Your Pool Interior a Fresh Start

Your pool’s interior finish shapes its appearance, water color and how the surface feels underfoot. Over time, plaster can become rough, stained, discolored or simply look outdated, taking away from the beauty of the entire backyard.

Flagship Pools provides professional pool plastering and resurfacing to restore worn interiors and give existing pools a fresh, refined look. We’ll help you explore finish colors, textures and materials so you can select an interior surface that complements your pool, home and outdoor space.

Is It Time to Resurface Your Pool?

Pool interiors naturally change with age, water chemistry and use. Some changes are primarily cosmetic, while others can indicate that the existing finish is deteriorating and should be evaluated.

Explore Pool Interior Finish Options

Your pool’s interior finish influences its water color, texture, appearance and long-term performance. Understanding the differences between finish types can help you select the right balance of beauty, comfort, durability and budget. Interior finish selections are often coordinated with pool tile and coping to create a cohesive look throughout the pool.

Traditional White Plaster

White plaster creates the clean, light-blue water color associated with a traditional swimming pool. Its smooth texture and timeless appearance make it an attractive and economical choice.

Because plaster is continuously exposed to pool water, balanced water chemistry is especially important. Over time, white plaster may show changes such as shading, staining, scaling or etching.

Pebble and Exposed Aggregate Finishes

Pebble finishes use small, smooth stones to create a natural appearance with greater depth and variation. They are available in a wide range of colors and can produce rich, dramatic water tones.

Exposed aggregate finishes are highly durable, but they have a more textured feel and typically represent a larger investment than traditional plaster.

A Note About Finish Color

The selected finish color, pool depth, sunlight and surrounding materials can all influence how the water ultimately appears. Colored plaster may also display natural shading, mottling or color variation. Samples are helpful for narrowing the choices, but they cannot perfectly predict the finished appearance of an entire pool.

We’ll Help You Compare the Options

Every finish has its own advantages and considerations. Flagship Pools will help you compare appearance, texture, performance and budget so you can make an informed selection for your pool and backyard.

What to Expect During Pool Resurfacing

1. Evaluate the Existing Pool
We inspect the existing interior and discuss any visible deterioration, areas of concern and the goals for the finished pool.

2. Select the New Interior Finish
We'll help you compare finish types, colors and textures while considering the pool design, surrounding materials and desired water appearance.

3. Prepare the Existing Surface
The pool is drained and the existing surface is prepared so the new interior finish can properly bond to the pool shell.

4. Apply the New Finish
The selected interior finish is professionally installed and finished according to the material and application requirements.

5. Refill & Start Up the Pool
After installation, the pool is refilled and the new surface enters an important startup period. Proper water chemistry and startup procedures help protect the new finish as it cures.

Resurfacing With Long-Term Performance in Mind

A beautiful finish is only part of a successful resurfacing project. Surface preparation, application, startup and ongoing water chemistry all contribute to how a pool interior looks and performs over time.

As a National Plasterers Council member, Flagship Pools follows industry education and best practices surrounding pool interior finishes, application and care.
